Scitec BCAA + Glutamine Xpress is a combination of BCAA amino acids along with        L-glutamine. These amino acids participate in the synthesis of new muscle proteins, inhibit the muscle catabolism, and support the regeneration of the body. The preparation is available in several flavors and additionally contains taurine, which positively affects the functioning of skeletal muscles.

BCAA, or branched-chain amino acids, is a combination of three essential amino acids that must be delivered to the body with food. The manufacturer used amino acids in the ratio of    2: 1: 1 for increased anabolic effects.

The BCAA includes:

L-Leucine - an amino acid with unusual properties that stimulate the synthesis of muscle proteins (MPS). Its supply can increase the rate of MPS regardless of the supply of other amino acids, and this is because its high concentration in the blood activates mTOR kinase. The mTOR kinase by activating S6K1 kinase increases the synthesis of new muscle proteins and enhances their proliferation. This mechanism leads to increase in the muscle mass.

In addition, L-leucine enhances the activity of insulin, which as an anabolic hormone helps to provide nutrients to the muscle cells.

L-isoleucine - is the L-leucine isomer and slightly less than it affects the activity of S6K1 kinase, but has a greater ability to capture glucose in muscle cells.

L-isoleucine has a strong anti-catabolic effect, i.e. protecting the muscle tissue from disintegration. This is possible due to the fact that this amino acid limits the process of gluconeogenesis, which in the case of low glucose availability takes it from the muscles.       L-isoleucine also promotes resynthesis of muscle glycogen and supports proper glucose metabolism in skeletal muscles, contributing to the improvement of sports performance.

L-Valine - the last of the big three amino acids, which supports the resynthesis of muscle glycogen and tissue renewal. The amino acid also limits the activity of tryptophan in the central nervous system, which is responsible for the synthesis of serotonin. That is why        L-valine helps to maintain the high level of motivation and focus, and also to postpone the effect of tiredness and fatigue caused by physical activity over time.

Synergy of the action of amino acids
Each of the BCAA amino acids has slightly different properties, but by acting together, they increase the body's exercise capacity, delay the fatigue and increase the utilization of fatty acids during exercise. Amino acids intensify MPS and inhibit the process of muscle catabolism, contribute to the improvement of glucose metabolism in the muscles and promote the resynthesis of muscle glycogen.

L-Glutamine - this amino acid has a number of important functions related to the skeletal muscle system and constitutes about 60% of proteins found in the muscles. L-glutamine is responsible for the transport of nitrogen in the body, and also acts as its warehouseman, thus contributing to the protection of muscle tissue against catabolism.

In addition, this amino acid after the resistance training in combination with carbohydrates accelerates muscle glycogen resynthesis and may also increase the level of strongly anabolic growth hormone. L-glutamine also supports wound healing and restoration of damaged tissues, including skeletal muscles.

Taurine - is a non-protein amino acid, appearing abundantly in skeletal muscles and in brain tissue. Like L-glutamine, it has the ability to transport and store nitrogen, and is responsible for the transport of creatine to the muscles.

What is more, it improves the sensitivity of tissues to insulin and suppresses the state of insulin resistance, thus contributing to the increased absorption of glucose by skeletal muscle. Taurine also improves skeletal muscle contractility, and by acting in the nervous system reduces and delays the appearance of fatigue.

In summary, Scitec BCAA + Glutamine Xpress is an advanced formula of BCAA amino acids in the ratio of 2: 1: 1, enriched with L-glutamine and taurine. The preparation increases the exercise capacity of the body and delays the occurrence of fatigue, as well as intensifies the post-workout synthesis of new muscle proteins and resynthesis of muscle glycogen. Recommended for both people performing the endurance, speed-strength and strength training.

Leucine is an essential amino acid, one of the three branched chain amino acids, ketogenic, its isomer is isoleucine. It affects the secretion of anabolic hormones (insulin, combined carbohydrates), acts on enzymes (mTOR) starting the process of muscle protein synthesis and controlling its course. Protein synthesis by leucine is affecting the development of bones, muscles and skin. It reduces the fat tissue. Without the availability of leucine, protein synthesis is impossible. It naturally occurs in animal products (such as eggs, meat, dairy and fish), plant origin, and as a post-training supplements, BCAA, EAA, no-boosters, creatine stacks, carbohydrate supplements. Ir is also in the form of mono-preparation supplements. It is one of the most important amino acids for the athlete's body, basically in every sports discipline.
Dosage: The demand is 5-10 g / 24h, dosage pre- and post-workout and in the morning after waking up.

Valine – is a branched essential amino acid, indispensible for the functioning of the nervous system (receiving of sensory information), involved in muscle protein synthesis and energy generation. Administration of additional doses of valine before exercise (or immediately after) has anti-catabolic effect, protecting the proteins and allowing them to rebuild. It is slightly stimulatory (delays symptoms of fatigue during workout), affecting the level and relations of neurotransmitters. It helps to protect the liver. It stimulates an increase in strength and muscle mass, participates in the reduction of body fat. BCAA, EAA, and other mixtures of amino acid supplementation, protein and protein supplements and carbohydrate-stacks, brings positive results in strength and endurance sports.
Valine deficiency can occur in case of increased energy needs of the body,
as the result of stress and too much stress load.

L-glutamine - amino acid building endogenous proteins, glutamic acid amide. In the human body it is responsible for the synthesis of proteins, acid-base balance and removing ammonia outside of the organism. With the shortage of energy taken from the muscle tissue, glutamine with alanine participate in the process of gluconeogenesis, and participate in the production of glucose substrate. L-glutamine has a direct impact on the proper functioning of the digestive system and immunity of the organism. Participates in the synthesis of one of the most powerful antioxidant - glutathione. It has anti-catabolic potential. It is found naturally in foods of animal and vegetable origin and high protein supplements. Used as mono-preparation or multi-component amino-acid supplements and supplements enhancing biological recovery after exercises, often in combination with BCAA.
Dosage: 5-20 g per day (portioned during the day, and after training and waking up). The minimum dose used in supplementation is 2-15g per 1 serving.

Taurine – non-protein amino acid containing sulphur, which is synthesized in the body from methionine and cysteine, present in sufficient amount in human or animal body (in the brain, heart and skeletal), although in some cases must be supplemented. Significantly affects the calcium content in the cells and stabilizes the water and electrolyte balance and maintains acid-base balance. Takes part in the synthesis of bile acids. In the body acts as a neurotransmitter and neuromodulator. It is an insulin-mimetic improving insulin metabolism, responsible for transport of nutrients (such as amino acids, glucose, creatine) to the cells and muscle tissue. These properties determine that it is a valued mono-preparation supplement and valuable addition to creatine and amino acid supplements, recommended for psycho-pchysically active people and athletes and other competitive sportsmen in pre- and post-workout periods.
Dosage: 3 grams per day.
