How to fry a steak properly?

Meet, steaks, game! Today we are presenting to you a simple recipe for a fantastic steak that always works. We guarantee you that if you have not fried steaks this way – you will not want to fry them differently anymore! The following recipe is inspired by Gordon Ramsey, especially for you, we also consulted it with one of our Polish Top Chefs.

What do you need? Of course, a piece of meat – the best would be a brisket or a roast beef. The steak should have a thickness not less than 1 cm, but not more than 2 cm. We wash the meat and put aside on a paper towel for about an hour – so it could get a room temperature. Add salt and pepper depending on your tastes, meanwhile warming pan (use a grape seed oil, rice or other neutral). To be completely happy you need a crushed clove of garlic, sprigs of rosemary, and a spoon of butter – all this is simply necessary to make the steak perfect!

We throw the meat it in hot fat, as well as the clove of garlic, and rosemary. Fry 2 minutes on each side to get a rare piece, or 3 minutes if you prefer the steak to be well-done. We do not pierce the meat, we try to turn it over with a spatula or with special pliers. At the end of frying, add to the pan and pour a tablespoon of butter – we embrocate (after its reconstitution) the steak withe the butter (a minute before the final frying will be enough).

We put fried meat away on a wooden board, so it can rest a few minutes. And we eat!

In the picture below you can see our standard version with a salad of canning cucumber and rye croutons. We served it a couple of friends – the opinions were hugely positive!

List of ingredients: rib eye steak or roast beef, salt, pepper, cooking oil, crushed garlic clove, a sprig of rosemary, a tablespoon of butter.
