Description
  • Highly concentrated glycerite from Chinese licorice
  • High-quality alcohol-free extract
  • Comfortable to use liquid form
  • Based on natural ingredients

Hawaii Pharm Chinese Licorice is an alcohol-free tincture of Chinese licorice. The formula contains a highly concentrated glycerite that has been prepared from natural ingredients. It is available in liquid form and the dropper bottle allows precise dosage.

Chinese licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis) is a perennial plant of the Fabaceae family. It occurs naturally in Asia and is commonly used as a sweetener due to its sweet taste. The root belongs to the group of the 50 basic herbs of traditional Chinese medicine.

Bioactive substances of Chinese licorice: 20 triterpenoids and 300 flavonoids have been isolated from the root of the plant, as they show high biological activity. Forty-two unique chalcones (a subgroup of flavonoids) have also been identified, which are probably responsible for the plant's medicinal properties. Experts in Traditional Chinese Medicine attribute among others anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects to Chinese licorice. In the West, on the other hand, preparations based on this plant are mainly used to promote a healthy metabolism and support weight loss.

Glycerin-based extract: the presented preparation contains the so-called glycerite. This is a type of tincture that uses glycerin, a type of trihydroxy alcohol, rather than the more common ethyl alcohol. It acts as both a solvent and a natural preservative. The advantage of glycerin-based extracts over alcohol-based tinctures lies, among other things, in the fact that glycerin does not degrade botanical ingredients, while alcohol promotes their denaturation.

Excellent product quality: only natural ingredients, including certified organic Chinese licorice root, were used in the preparation of the offered product. The product is gluten-free and GMO-free. It has also been tested for the presence of mold, synthetic pesticides, and fertilizers. It does not contain any artificial colors or preservatives. There is also not an ounce of added sugar in its formulation.

In conclusion, Hawaii Pharm Chinese Licorice is a liquid extract of Chinese licorice. It stands out for its excellent quality, being alcohol-free and made with only natural ingredients.
