Millennium Cordygen VO2 Ultra is a superb pre-workout supplement based on natural and extremely potent plant extracts. The extracts provide huge amounts of energy substances and adaptogens which beneficially influence endurance and athletic performance. The product is also enriched with a blend of electrolytes that support healthy function of the whole body.

OxyCeps ATP is a formula comprising two species of Tibetan fungi, i.e. Cordyceps sinensis and Cordyceps militaris. They have been used for years in Chinese and Tibetan medicine due to its health benefits – they boost the body’s immunity, protect against stress, provide essential vitamins and minerals and have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects and many others. This is because they contain many organic substances, including cordycepic acid and polysaccharides with immunomodulatory effects. Because of that, Cordyceps is believed to have anticancer and antimetastatic properties.

Apart from these compounds, the fungi are a source of bioactive ingredients which are energy substrates. They include:

Adenosine and its derivatives (hydroxyethyl-adenosine, 3-deoxyadenosine and ethyladenosine) are nucleosides which combine adenine with ribose. They have important biological functions in a cell, especially in energy production and distribution.

Adenosine is a cellular energy carrier – it may bind to phosphate groups which are held together by high-energy bonds. ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which is an universal source of energy, is comprised of adenosine and three such groups. The hydrolysis of these bonds leads to the release of energy and synthesis of other compounds in a cell, e.g. proteins, necessary for muscle growth and functioning of the whole body.

What is more, adenosine is a neurotransmitter in the central nervous systen and regulates cerebral circulation. It also causes the influx of calcium ions through specialised channels, thereby promoting neurotransmission and skeletal and smooth muscle contractions.

Adenine is a simpler compound than adenosine because it is comprised only of a nitrogenous base (without ribose). It is a constituent of nucleic acids (RNA and DNA) and that is why it is necessary for their metabolism and transcription and translation processes leading to protein formation. It is also a component of NAD and FAD which are crucial carriers of electrons and protons in energy production via cellular respiration.

Beta-glucan is also derived from Cordyceps, but it is not an energy compound like those described above. Nonetheless, it has several vital functions and two of them seem to be most important. It functions as dietary fibre, which positively influences intestinal motility and function, and improves blood parameters. This is because it may lower levels of bad cholesterol, boost level of good cholesterol (HDL) and maintain normal glucose concentrations.

OxyGen-ATP is a formula comprising two natural plant extracts – Rhodiola Rosea and Jiaogulan extract.

Rhodiola Rosea Extract is an adaptogen used for ages to improve physical performance because it has a positive impact on the metabolism of oxygen and energy compounds in the body. According to scientific studies, the extract boosts ATP levels by 17% and phosphocreatine levels even by 45%. What is more, it causes a 53% increase in muscle glycogen concentrations and a significant decrease in levels of lactic acid and ammonia, which are harmful metabolites of muscle cells.

The extract also improves cognitive functions – it beneficially influences mental clarity and focus and boosts energy levels by increasing dopamine and serotonin concentrations.

Jiaogulan Extract is an extract from a plant with the Latin name Gynostemma pentaphyllum, known in China and Japan as the “immortality herb”, probably because of its numerous health-giving properties. The extract is standardised to contain 95% gypenosides which have a significant impact on, e.g. oxygen saturation and supply to tissues.

Gynostemma pentaphyllum extract acts as an adaptogen, which has been in shown in numerous scientific studies. It improves cardiovascular function and oxygen transport – it increases stroke volume even by few dozen percent. As a result, it increases heart rate and does not raise blood pressure. What is more, it boosts the synthesis of nitric oxide which relaxes blood vessels. Thanks to these benefits, it helps prevent heart and lung diseases and boosts the body’s physical performance, improves sleep and mental clarity and even positively influences sexual performance.

The extract is also used in folk medicine to lower cholesterol concentrations, regulate blood sugar levels, boost immune function and also due to its antioxidant effects.

Ath-Lytes (Electrolyte Support) is a blend of electrolytes which include salts with phosphorous, chloride, sodium and potassium. They are found in every cell of our body and have chief functions associated with the maintenance of their biological processes. They are critical to proper hydration, membrane excitability, substance transport, neuromuscular transmission and all biochemical reactions. Because of that, you must maintain their proper intake during increased physical activity and when they are lost through sweat and urine.

To sum up, Millennium Cordygen VO2 Ultra is a dietary supplement which improves oxygen utilisation and thus positively influences the oxygenation of tissues, thereby enhancing their performance and endurance. What is more, it contains compounds that boost energy production, allowing you to increase exercise intensity. The formulation may also bring health benefits because it supports the cardiovascular system and improves cognitive functions, consequently increasing motivation.

Phosphorus

Information

Phosphorus (chemical element of nitrogen family, occurring in several colours: white [poisonous], red, purple and black). It is a micro element involved in the physiological responses of the organism. It is a factor of the proper structure of bones and teeth, storing approx. 85% of the element in the form of hydroxyapatite. Adjusts the acidity in the body by increasing the pH. It is a component of nucleic acids. It also affects the proper functioning of the kidneys and the heart and nerves (transfer pulse). A natural source of obtaining of phosphorus are both plant (eggs, seeds, nuts, whole grains) and animal origin products (poultry, different types of meat, fish). Phosphorus deficiency and strengthen the bone structure can be adjusted by the use of appropriate nutrients and supplements.
Phosphorus deficiency causes bone disease (rickets) and phlegmon.
Excess of phosphorus (although it is excreted through the kidneys) can cause an imbalance of minerals (especially lower calcium levels, up to total loss). Particular caution in consuming products and specifics containing phosphorus is recommended to people suffering from chronic kidney disorders and the elderly. Excess of potassium should be balanced with the increased intake of calcium.
Dosage: 800-1200 mg per day. The higher limit of dosage should be consumed by pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Sodium phosphate

Information

Sodium Phosphate - a single molecule of phosphorus and sodium (macronutrients). Sodium is involved in the stabilization of water and electrolyte balance of the body and stabilizes the acid-base balance and blood pressure. Phosphorus is the building substance of bone guarantees a correct development of nucleic acids and brain tissue. It plays a key role in energy production (phosphorylation), is essential for the synthesis of high energy compounds (e.g. creatine phosphate). It is a component of pre- and post-workout, mineral and vitamin-mineral supplements available at www.muscle-zone.pl

Dosage: individual, dependent on demand, exercise time, and energy loss during exercise

Chloride

Information

Chlorine (chemical element from the group of halogens) - in the natural form of gas it is poisonous and water-soluble (until recently used as a disinfectant in the water supply system, now replaced by fluorination). It is chemically active element. It is used in the form of sodium chloride (NaCl) and potassium (KCl). It participates in the process of digestion and maintains acid-base balance in the body, removes toxic products of metabolism in the liver (antitoxin). Natural source of chlorine for the body is salt and bladderwrack.
Chlorine deficiency can occur due to excessive sweating, vomiting, causing digestive tract problems. It also causes loss of hair and teeth.
Excess chlorine, for example. Drink excessive amounts of chlorinated water, destroys bacterial flora and vitamin E.
Dosage: Daily dose should not exceed 15 grams.

Potassium

Information

Potassium and sodium regulate the body's water resources, ensuring normal heart rhythm. Maintaining the proper level of potassium provides the proper oxidation of the brain, lowers blood pressure, increases the permeability of cell membranes (as an antagonist of calcium). It is a base-forming element. It is widely used in sports diet before and after training in the form of supplements, nutrients, vitamin-mineral preparations and minerals, concentrates and ready, isotonic and hypertonic beverages. Natural sources of acquisition of potassium are: vegetable products (bananas, citrus fruits, melons, mint leaves, green vegetables, potatoes) and animal products (sea fish, meat). Potassium is present in the form of organic compounds: citric acids, and fumarates gluconates and inorganic (chlorides, sulfates, oxides and carbonates).
Potassium deficiency (hypokalemia): excessive tiredness, headaches and irritability, problems with sleeping, muscle cramps, constipation. Potassium levels may drop sharply in the event of a reduction in blood sugar levels, prolonged starvation, severe diarrhea. They can occur when too much of strong coffee is consumed, with alcohol abuse and when eating too much sweets.
The excess of potassium (hyperkalemia) is often the cause of depression, hypotension, tingling in the extremities.

Sodium

Information

Sodium is an important component of the intracellular fluids, and is a regulator of acid-base balance. Along with potassium affects the proper of growth and provides the proper functioning of muscles and nerves. The source of acquisition is table salt (NaCl) and bladderwrack, shellfish, bacon, beef, and of plant beets and carrots. People on salt-free diet should avoid, among others, spicy sauces and smoked meats and sausages.
Sodium deficiency is very rare, at heaving sweating after a long effort (e.g. in the marathon).
Excess sodium increases blood pressure (especially for the elderly), edema and increased thirst. Exceeding the daily dose of 14g a day can cause poisoning.

Rose root (Rhodiola rosea)

Information

Rose root - (Rhodiola rosea) - due to the use in Oriental medicine, the root is also known as Golden Root. The use of preparation improves psychophysical capacity, reduces fatigue, improves mood, relieves stress and depression. It includes a variety of biologically active ingredients, such as flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins and proanthocyanidins. In the sports supplementation extracts from the golden root are used in the period of intensive training in order to improve the resistance to overload, in cases of stress overload, for improving the well-being and accelerate post-workout recovery time. The root of Rhodiola rosea is available as mono-preparation supplements and it is a component of supplements of versatile action. In clinical trials, in the treatment of moderate depression, a dose of 380-680mg / 24h was administered, without side effects.

Gynostemma pentaphyllum

Information

Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Jiaogulan, "miracle herb") - herbaceous plant used for centuries in traditional medicine of the Far East, which is the source of gypenosides (triterpenes steroids), and glycosides with adaptation properties, boost our immune system and increases the strength and psychophysical capacities and with high antioxidant potential. It participates in many metabolic conversions and stimulates the functioning of the pancreas. Glycosides contained in it allows to increase insulin secretion, and as an end effect, improves glucose utilization affecting the taste receptors, reduces the body's need for sweets. In the sports supplementation it has a crucial impact on the course of metabolic processes and assimilation of nutrients. It is a component of preparations and extracts used for fat reduction (or even weight loss) and creatine stacks and herbal mixtures.
Dosage: 300-600 mg a day, before meals containing carbohydrates.
