ProBiota Bifido by Seeking Health is a dietary supplement containing in its composition in sum 12 billion of selected bacteria Bifidobacterium in one capsule.

Bacteria from the group Bifidobacterium abundantly appear mainly in the small intestine, on the colon mucosa and in the genitourinary system. They take care about proper intestinal microflora by eliminating pathogenetic microbes and support the production of lactic and acetic acids, helpful in restoring proper intestinal balance.

The product is ideal for people with histamine intolerance. Research proves that strains from the group of Bifidobacterium do not cause excessive histamine secretion, which may be observed when using antibiotics containing Lactobacillus strains.

What are probiotics?
Probiotics are living cultures of microorganisms taking care about the balance of intestinal microflora, fighting pathogens and microbes, which disturb proper work of the bowels. A given bacteria strain is considered to be probiotic when it is isolated from the human organism, exhibits resistance to low pH of the stomach and gastric juices, influences general health of the organism and does not allow pathogen bacteria to nestle in the digestive system mucosa.

Bifidobacterium bifidum – settles in the highest amount in the large intestine and vagina, influencing its proper pH. It is known for its positive properties eliminating harmful bacteria, e.g. E. coli, Salmonella, Clostridium. It increases the absorption of vitamins and minerals from food, e.g. calcium, iron, zinc and magnesium. It is recommended in case of frequent and strong diarrheas caused by antibiotic therapy, in digestive problems among adults and children and intestinal diseases.

Bifidobacterium longum – a strain which finds its application after ending antibiotic therapy, as it has strong properties rebuilding proper intestinal microflora and stimulating the immune system to fight viruses, pathogens and microbes. It alleviates the irritation of the digestive system and helps to tolerate lactose by the digestive system.

Bifidobacterium lactis – supports defense mechanisms of the immune system, counteracting the attack of viruses and microbes. They maintain the production of vitamins in the intestines, e.g. vitamin K and B-group vitamins as well as anti-inflammatory interleukin 10. They support proper glucose-insulin balance and help to maintain tolerance of milk products containing lactose.

Bifidobacterium breve - mitigates symptoms of the digestive system, i.e. bloating, gases, stomachaches and constipation. It is especially recommended in case of coeliac syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), ulcerative colitis and chronic diarrheas. It prevents the growth of Candida fungi in the digestive system.

Mechanisms of operation
Bifidobacterium strains produce hydrogen peroxide and short-chain fatty acids e.g. butyrate, which nourish epithelium of the large intestine, increasing the absorption of nutrients from food and eliminate the symptoms of imbalance between good and pathogenetic bacteria.
