Spirulina Spirulina

Trec Spirulina is a dietary supplement containing high-quality spirulina. Liquid algae concentrate is encapsulated in easy-to-swallow softgels.

The preparation helps to maintain homeostasis in the organism, as it contains a multitude of valuable nutrients, including complete protein. It proves perfect when the organism is weakened and strained physically or intellectually. Spirulina makes the process of removing harmful substances from the organism easier and faster, which is why it is often recommended as support for detoxification and anti-parasitic therapy.

Spirulina is a simple, single-celled organism with a distinctive spiral shape and blue-green colour. It can be found in environmental conditions that are difficult or even fatal for other live organisms (highly alkaline salt water areas). Spirulina’s life activity is limited to the production of nutrients, which makes it a unique “vitamin bomb”.

Source of valuable nutrients
Scientists agree that there are few substances of plant or animal origin in the world whose nutritional value is as high as that of spirulina. In terms of nutritional value, just 1 g of spirulina is an equivalent of 1 kg of vegetables (!). Additionally, it does not contain cellulose, which is why it is easily digested and absorbed. On top of that, it provides a negligible number of calories.

Spirulina can successfully substitute synthetic multivitamin preparations. One microscopic alga can be a powerful source of vitamins (A, B complex, C, D, E), minerals (calcium, iron, phosphorus, silicon, zinc, selenium), complete protein rich with amino acids, chlorophyll, fatty acids (including the rare gamma-linolenic acid), and carotenoids.

Antioxidant activity
Spirulina provides the organism with many antioxidants. It owes its high antioxidant potential to carotenoids contained in it (like beta-carotene or cryptoxanthin), as well as phycocyanin – a plant colourant responsible for the distinctive, dark turquoise colour of spirulina.

Scientists suggest that the compound is capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier, thanks to which it can protect nerve cells from damage caused by the activity of free radicals and oxidative stress. Potentially, spirulina can be useful in the prevention of neurodegenerative diseases.

Stronger immunity
Spirulina has a beneficial effect on the immune system and can contribute to an increase in immunity. It stimulates the growth of immune system cells, boosts the activity of macrophages, stimulates the process of phagocytosis and the activity of NK cells. It also plays a role in mobilising T lymphocytes as well as stimulates the release of antibodies and cytokines.

Anaemia prevention
Spirulina proves to be a fantastic aid in the treatment of anaemia, so it is highly recommended for people who suffer from it. It supports the process of blood production, as it contains a high amount of vitamin B12 in its active form, which is essential for the production of red blood cells. It also delivers highly assimilable iron, which is crucial in haemoglobin synthesis.

Improved detoxification
Spirulina exhibits powerful detoxifying properties, as it is a powerful chelating agent that helps to remove toxins and heavy metals from the organism (such as mercury, cadmium, lead). It is worth including in detoxification or anti-parasitic therapy. It can accelerate the excretion of harmful compounds from the organism and reduce the risk of a Jarisch–Herxheimer reaction, which often accompanies the death of parasites and pathogenic microorganisms.

Obesity prevention
Spirulina is helpful in the prevention and therapy of metabolic diseases. It helps to maintain normal body mass, reduces excessive appetite, and inhibits fat deposition. Additionally, it supports digestion and regulates metabolism. It has a positive effect on glucose management. Despite the wealth of nutrients, spirulina itself contains very few calories.

Support for the cardiovascular system
Spirulina helps to regulate blood lipid levels and reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular system diseases. Tests have demonstrated that regular supplementation with spirulina helps to reduce LDL cholesterol levels and increase the HDL fraction. What is more, it promotes blood vessel dilation, thanks to which it enhances blood flow and prevents arterial hypertension.

To sum up, Trec Spirulina is a supplement that can be recommended to anyone. It complements the diet with essential nutrients and helps to prevent or treat potential vitamin and mineral deficiencies. It will prove excellent in people who are fatigued, feel weak, are in the period of convalescence after a severe disease, or experience excessive stress. It can replace other multivitamin supplements based on the synthetic forms of vitamins and minerals.

Spirulina

Information

Spirulina is a dietary supplement containing two species of algae (cyanobacteria): Arthrospira platensis and Arthrospira maxima occurring in the area of lakes in tropical climates, containing BCAA [3 essential amino acids having a branched chain aliphatic side (isoleucine, leucine, and valine) and a similar course of metabolic processes in muscle tissue. In its natural form found in high-protein animal foods (i.e. beef, milk proteins). BCAA have the anti-catabolic potential and anabolic. Support energy carriers in the energy crisis and affect the functioning of the nervous system (eliminate stress, reduce fatigue), and hormone activity and kinases responsible for the metabolism of proteins. In the sports supplementation it is used as support elements functional capacity (strength and endurance) and post-workout recovery; also anti-catabolic and anabolic catalyst of change. Taking BCAA after exercise almost immediately restores the levels of these amino acids in the blood (excluding liver) and supplies the muscle tissue. Leucine results in the activation of mTOR (starting anabolism of muscle proteins) and has a reinforcing effect of insulin which acts on the PI3-kinase and protein kinase B). Branched chain amino acids BCAA, readily used by strength athletes, strength-endurance and endurance], organic acids (GLA, ALA, Linoleic acid, and others) and vitamins B and C, D, E. Spirulina improves the functioning of the nervous system (improves the ability of concentration and memory), reduces total cholesterol and triglyceride levels, belongs to the group of antioxidants. In the supplementation often used by the elderly, available as a nutritional and functional supplements and due to the thermogenic effect by people on weight-loss diet, available at www.muscle-zone.pl.
