SWANSON Albion® Chelated Manganese is a dietary supplement composed of manganese – a trace element involved in antioxidant protection of the body and a component of many important enzymes.

The preparation contains manganese in the form of Albion® amino acid chelate. It is characterized by high chemical stability and resistance to gastric juices; it is easily absorbed and assimilated. Its bioavailability manifoldly surpasses other forms available on the market.

Manganese belongs to trace elements. It is necessary for the correct functioning of many enzymatic systems, it affects the functioning of the brain and nervous system and determines bone mineralization. The largest amounts of manganese are deposited in the pancreas, liver, kidneys, and bones. A good source of manganese are legumes, cereal products, rice, green leafy vegetables, and tea. Manganese absorption may be reduced by other elements (iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium), some vitamins (C, B1, and B6), as well as fiber and phytates.

Strengthening of the antioxidant barrier
Manganese plays a large role in protecting the body from oxidative stress and excessive free radicals. It is part of the SOD-2 superoxide dismutase. It is one of the three known forms of the SOD superoxide dismutase enzyme, recognized as the most important, endogenous antioxidant of the body. Regulation of blood sugar level
