Beets – cleansing properties

You want to be beautiful like Aphrodite - eat beets! It is said that the Greek goddess of love already knew their charity and she owed her beauty to the roots of this vegetable. After all, Aphrodite is a woman for whom every man has lost his head - if it is because of the beetroot, it is worth taking a closer look.

Beets in a nutshell

So let us take it under the magnifying glass. From the outside...well ..it is not very pretty, grey, spherical, it does not attract our attention at the vegetable stand, but what is hidden inside it...? Not only is the wonderful carmine red colour but there is much much more!

Beetroots contain a set of vitamins from group B - as B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B12, vitamin A and C, they contain sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, manganese, iron, cobalt, copper, zinc, phosphorus, fluorine, chlorine, carotenes, sugars, protein, betanin, fibre, organic acids.

We already know what's in our beets, but what does that give us?

What are the benefits of regular consumption of beet?

Well, B vitamins help with depressive states and neuroses. They also strengthen concentration, alertness and reflexes.

For active athletes, they help to strengthen the resilience of muscle mass and help to remove acidity. Vitamin B12 is said to relieve menstrual pains, so it may be worthwhile not to stuff ourselves with painkillers instead of during these difficult days, just a few days before including e.g. beet juice in the menu? Especially as it contains iron, which is much more needed on these days. It increases the number of red blood cells. So it is worth thinking about replacing chocolate with it, which of course also contains iron.

Thanks to betaine and trace amounts of elements such as lithium, strontium, rubidium increase the body's immunity, and thanks to the content of anthocyanins - dyes belonging to polyphenols, i.e. very strong oxidants and elements such as caesium, rubidium, cobalt - they help to prevent and fight the diseases of civilisation.

What is most important, due to the high content of fibre and enzymes, especially betaine HCL (from organic chlorine), the beetroot is a good agent regulating the gastrointestinal tract and preventing constipation, because pectin inhibits intestinal rot, strongly detoxifies the intestine, liver, kidneys and cleanses the blood.

Beetroot has detoxifying properties - it flushes out toxins from the body and facilitates its cleansing. How does it work? Mainly by the elimination of urea from the body. Thanks to this beet:

  • removes harmful microorganisms
  • blocks their ability to stick to tissues, and, thanks to pectin substances, facilitates digestion,
  • lowers cholesterol levels,
  • counteracts atherosclerosis
  • inhibits the rotting processes in the intestines.

So it is a vegetable that cleanses our body perfectly - think about it and admit to yourself how many times have you felt sluggish, stomach aches, flatulence? Women are much more likely to suffer from this kind of ailments, because about 50% of women have problems with emptying, flatulence, and beetroot is an ally in the fight against them! It will help to remove the remaining deposits of the metabolism and feel lighter every day.

With beetroot on a daily basis

As part of prophylactic intestinal protection, 1/8 litre of red beet juice should be drunk every day. When a grated apple is added to this juice, all the toxins accumulated during the day will be removed with pectin and a drop of oil will facilitate the absorption of vitamins.

I recommend beetroot juice with carrots, apples and celery - it is really delicious and after drinking 0.5 litres of such a drink I do not want to eat at all... (it is best to use a juicer) it would be worth to use it as often as possible.

It should be remembered that beets are the healthiest in their raw form, and if we cook them, let us do it in the skin!

Summary

It's worth to like this simple, cheap vegetable and include it in our daily menu, so we can stimulate our intestines to work, distract the spectre of atherosclerosis and certainly feel better because drinking beetroot juice every day increases our strength by up to 16%. The juice makes the body lose less oxygen, which makes us feel less tired, so we will get more energy every day! Sounds tempting...doesn't it?
