Medicinal ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a widespread spice plant, which in addition to the standard culinary use, it can also be used for medicinal purposes. The rhizome of the plant contains a very large number of various bioactive substances, among which the most active are unique gingerols and aldehydes (6-shogaol and 6-paradol).

Preparations based on ginger have a beneficial effect on the functioning and condition of the digestive tract. They facilitate digestion, reduce the risk of indigestion and heartburn, and are part of the prevention of colon cancer. Due to the antiemetic effect, they are often recommended to pregnant women, people suffering from motion sickness or sea sickness and patients undergoing chemotherapy. In addition, they have anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. They bring relief in case of muscle pain after intense physical effort, relieve menstrual pain, and reduce the symptoms of osteoarthritis. They are well suited for the prevention of civilization diseases, especially diabetes and atherosclerosis.

Our offer includes a large selection of supplements containing the powdered ginger root. The extracts standardized for the content of gingerols are particularly effective and have a strong effect. Ginger acts synergistically with many other herbs, therefore our offer also includes multi-ingredient preparations, combining e.g. ginger with garlic or capsaicin.
