N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) it is an acetylated form of the amino acid L-cysteine, which is a source of thiol groups –SH, which show antioxidant properties. Cysteine is an endogenous amino acid. It is a part of the proteins structures. It has been proven that N-acetyl cysteine shows strong health promoting properties.
