Apollo’s Hegemony Blitzkrieg is an advanced pre-workout with extremely versatile effects on the body. It has been designed to promote the function of all bodily systems which influence physical performance. As a result, it allows you to unlock your full potential and maximise your training effectiveness.

Apart from a surge of energy (in this case extremely powerful), which is the basic feature of all pre-workouts, the product has also effects on other areas that influence your athletic results. It is targeted particularly at emotional functions, thereby increasing motivation and focus, promotes neurotransmission, consequently maximising the efficiency of the nervous system, and optimises energy metabolism to ensure that we do not run out of fuel during training. This complex formula comprises:

L-Citrulline – an amino acid valued for its ability to stimulate nitric oxide synthesis. The compound increases the lumen of blood vessels, thereby boosting arteriovenous blood flow. This leads to increased blood supply to peripheral tissues and thus their nourishment, including muscles that work hard during training.  This is felt as so-called muscle pump. Increased supply of energy substances to muscles allows you to maximise muscle efficiency for a long time. As a result, it helps provide stronger training stimuli to promote muscle growth.

Betain anhydrous – called also trimethylglycine (TMG), is capable of stimulating methylation, one of the most important systems in terms of energy metabolism. It is vital to health because it helps remove homocysteine that is harmful to the cardiovascular system and promotes efficient energy production by the body. Betaine is also an indirect precursor to creatine.

In addition, betaine is an osmoregulator like creatine. This means that it regulates cell hydration. It helps maintain optimal levels of intracellular fluid, thereby triggering its chemical reactions. This contributes to more efficient function of the body.

Beta-alanine – its effects are caused by carnosine to which it is a precursor. It also promotes carnosine synthesis. Carnosine functions as a intracellular buffer which is responsible for maintaining an optimal pH. Regulating acid-base balance is crucial especially to athletes because lactic acid, which is secreted during exercise, contributes to pain that reduces muscle function. By neutralising its effects, carnosine helps you exercise longer while maximising your efficiency.

Choline bitartrate – since it provides choline which is a component of lecithin, a building block of cell membranes, it has a beneficial effect on nervous system function by promoting neurotransmission. In addition, it is a precursor to acetylcholine, the main excitatory neurotransmitter in the human body. It is indicated that choline supplementation may support neuromotor skills.

Agmatine sulphate – a natural metabolite of arginine which acts on the vascular endothelium. It stimulates nitric oxide synthesis, consequently increasing blood vessel diameter. This leads to an increase in the supply of blood and nutrients in the body. During exercise, it helps therefore improve muscle nourishment. Agmatine sulphate has also therefore synergistic effects with citrulline, which is also found in this supplement. As a result, these compounds may maximise muscle pump.

Apart from that, it is suggested that supplementing with agmatine sulphate influences beneficially the nervous system and may have neuroprotective effects. It may also reduce anxiety and symptoms of depression.

ALCAR (N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine) – an acetylated, highly bioavailable form of carnitine, a compound that is extremely important to maximise the efficiency of the energy system. It is involved in transferring fat molecules to mitochondria where they can be oxidised into energy. Because of that, carnitine does not only help enhance the body’s efficiency but also promotes body fat reduction.

What is more, supplementing ALCAR before and after a workout may especially promote cognitive functions. It helps enhance alertness, focus and memory. It has thus synergistic effects with choline bitartate, thereby acting in the pathway of the synthesis of acetylcholine whose high concentrations are associated with enhanced mental performance.

Caffeine anhydrous – a highly bioavailable form of the most popular stimulant, used for ages in different infusions. This alkaloid has been shown to be highly effective in increasing energy levels due to its two main mechanisms of action.

Firstly, it is a competitive inhibitor of adenosine. This means that it binds to adenosine receptors without their activation. As a consequence, it prevents adenosine from binding to them, thereby blocking fatigue signalling.
Secondly, caffeine is a competitive inhibitor of cAMP phosphodiesterase, a compound responsible for breaking down cyclic adenosine monophosphate into its inactive, non-cyclic form. An increase in levels of active cAMP in cells speeds up their metabolism and enhances the effects of adrenaline on the body, consequently having stimulant effects.
It is worth noting the activity of one of caffeine metabolites – theobromine. It exerts vasodilating properties and that is why it enhances the product’s efficacy in promoting muscle pump.

Korean ginseng – valued for its ability to boost energy levels and promote mind clarity. It is characterised by relatively lasting effects. It is recommended to promote physical and mental performance. Korean ginseng may also reduce fatigue, thereby enhancing your training effectiveness. In addition, supplementing with ginseng extracts is suggested to help restore carbohydrate balance – it may lower blood sugar levels.

L-Theanine – an amino acid known commonly for its adaptogenic properties, with a remarkable ability to regulate energy levels. When it is taken in small doses, it may have stimulant effects (which have been used in this formulation) and its higher doses promote relaxation (without causing drowsiness). It is also important that it has strong synergistic effects with caffeine from this supplement. It reduces side effects of caffeine, such as irritability and anxiety, and maximises its positive effects by prolonging its release in the body. This combination shows a beneficial impact on mental function by enhancing cognitive abilities and focus.

Astragalus – known for its ability to increase tissue insulin sensitivity, thereby influencing beneficially the endurance of skeletal muscles. Interestingly, there are indications that it may stimulate the secretion of insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1). In addition, it has a wide range of health-giving properties and may delay the effects of ageing and have cardioprotective and anti-inflammatory effects.

DMHA (2-Amino-6-Methylheptane) – a compound which is used in dietary supplements as a legal substitute for the banned DMAA. It shows similar effects to dimethylamine which involve strong stimulation and enhanced physical performance. By increasing noradrenaline levels, it prepares the body for maximum effort, consequently optimising physiological processes which enhance physical performance. By boosting dopamine levels in the body, it increases motivation and improves neuromotor coordination.

DMHA is capable of increasing the lumen of bronchi, consequently, enhancing their efficiency. As a result, it increases the body’s aerobic capacity.

Naringin – a flavonoid glycoside found naturally in grapefruit. Apart from its health-giving antioxidant properties, it boosts levels of adiponectin in the body which increases tissue sensitivity to insulin. As a result, it influences beneficially carbohydrate metabolism. It may also stimulate lipolysis and lower cortisol levels. In addition, naringin shows synergistic effects with caffeine from this supplement.

Piperine – an alkaloid occurring naturally in black pepper, giving it a characteristic, sharp taste. It is used in supplementation due to its ability to increase the absorption of active substances. It maximises thus the supplement’s effects on the human body.

Yohimbine hydrochloride – a synthetic form of the famous fat burner, more popular due to its higher purity and greater stability compared to its natural version (plant extracts). This alkaloid is valued for its unique ability to promote the reduction of body fat from so-called resistant areas, such as the stomach, thighs and buttocks. Yohimbine shows a high affinity for alpha-2 adrenergic receptors, thereby enhancing dramatically lipolysis. It has also stimulant effects on the body and may increase exercise capacity. It is also used as an effective agent improving sexual performance.

Huperzine A – an alkaloid capable of inhibiting acetylcholinesterase activity, thereby influencing beneficially acetylcholine levels in the body. Boosting levels of this excitatory neurotransmitter has a positive impact on nervous system function. It enhances mental performance, helps focus and improves reaction time. It is suggested also that huperzine A may enhance the strength of muscle contraction, thereby having a beneficial impact on strength performance.

To sum up, Apollo’s Hegemony Blitzkrieg is an extremely versatile pre-workout which promotes exercise capacity. It helps maximise your physical performance by enhancing training effectiveness and achieve your desired results faster. In addition, by increasing energy levels and motivation, it helps you get through the hardest training sessions. Featuring incredible potency resulting from optimally selected ingredients and their effective doses, it is a perfect solution for advanced athletes who look for a reliable, strong pre-workout.

What is L-Citrulline?

L-Citrulline is an α-amino acid, ornithine derivative. It was isolated for the first time from watermelon and this is how it gained its name, as citrullus in Latin means watermelon. Citrulline takes part in oxygen processes of energy production during effort, thanks to which it is especially attractive for sportsmen of endurance disciplines. It also takes part in urea cycle, also known as the Ornithine cycle, thanks to which it helps to get rid of excessive amounts of ammonia from the organism.

It converts to l-arginine in kidneys and scientific studies suggest that is increases its level even more effectively than in case of sole arginine. Moreover, the increase of arginine level resulting from citrulline supply is longer and more stable. Thanks to this, it contributes to the increase of nitric oxide and widening of blood vessel lumen. This property makes citrulline useful in preventing cardiological incidents. The positive influence on the circulatory system is also used in case of erection disorders, as increased nitric oxide may initiate more effective blood flow to sex organs.

L-Citrulline is contained in the composition of many pre-workout supplements and NO-boosters directed at the improvement of sports abilities of the organism, which may be found in the offer of

Betaine HCl

Betaine HCl - betaine hydrochloride, a highly bioavailable form of trimethylglycine. As the name suggests, TMG constitutes a derivative of the protein amino acid glycine, enriched in three methyl groups. It naturally appears in the roots of red beet. It demonstrates a wide influence on the human organism and is willingly used in supplementation.

Betaine constitutes one of the elements of methylation process as a donor for methyl groups in the reduction reaction of homocysteine to methionine, positively influences the level of S-adenosylmethionine in the system and is conducive to the activation of folates. In this way, it holistically influences proper energy metabolism in the organism and has positive influence on maintaining proper mental functions (by the promotion of SAMe concentration in the organism). Research suggests that it may be directly used in order to decrease the level of homocysteine in people who note its excessive concentrations.

Moreover, trimethylglycine has osmotic properties and increases hydration of cells. This has positive influence on their metabolism and may promote efficiency of their work. In relation to myocytes, this activity is similar to the activity of creatine and is indicated as a probable mechanism of promoting the efficiency of skeletal muscles, as a result of supplementation with betaine. This scope of activity of TMG, however, is still under research - scientists are looking for further mechanisms responsible for the stimulation of effort abilities resulting from supplementation with betaine.

The supplements containing betaine hydrochloride are also used by people with stomach achlorhydria in order to decrease pH of stomach juice. The key role is played here by acid radical of this compound. Therefore, people who deal with hyperacidity should be especially careful with supplementation of this form of trimethylglycine.

Beta-alanine (β-alanine) is a β-amino acid (the same group to which the I-alanine belongs, but with different chemistries).
