Cat's Claw (Uncaria Tomentos) is a herb mainly known for its antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, occurring naturally in the tropical forests of South and Central America. For therapeutic purposes, the bark and root of the plant are used.

Cat’s Claw helps to minimize the symptoms of arthritis (it reduces pain symptoms), demonstrates anticancer effect, optimizes blood pressure (effective in case of hypertension, antithrombotic activity), strengthens the immune system (helpful in case of HIV infection, effective in fighting herpes) and it is also effective in fighting a wide range of digestive disorders (irritable bowel syndrome, stomach and duodenum ulcers, bowel inflammation).

Cat’s Claw may also demonstrate effectiveness in case of borreliosis - it was proven in one of the studies that combining Cat’s Claw and Otoba parvifolia contributed to the destruction of Borrelia spirochetes both in relation to active and inactive forms.
