Mixed Fatty Acids is a complex of fatty acids which are an integral part of the diet without regardless of physical and mental activity. It is used for the decomposition of fatty acids: saturated (monounsaturated, polyunsaturated) or unsaturated. Saturated fatty acids is a fatty acid group having different carbon chain lengths, in which, except for the carboxyl group, each of the carbon atoms is linked by a single bond. May adversely affect the lipid profile, so they can be used in limited quantities. Unsaturated fatty acids are essential fatty acids, these include acids of Omega 3 (both short- and long-chain unsaturated fatty acids) and Omega 6 (long-chain unsaturated fatty acids). Number 3 (with the name Omega) informes that the last double bond in the carbon chain is the third from the end of the carbon atom. Acids of Omega 3 are an essential components of cell membranes, are precursors and biological activators of eicosanoids and white matter of the brain. Number 6 in the name Omega indicates that the last bond in the carbon chain is placed at the sixth carbon from the end. They are an important component of cell membranes and precursors of prostaglandins. Consumption of unsaturated fatty acids omega-6 should be proportional to the consumption of Omega 3 in a ratio of 1: 1 to 6: 1.
