Nattokinase — an enzyme derived from fermented soya owing to the activity of Bacillus subtilis, used mainly due to its cardioprotective properties. It prevents the formation of blood clots and is thus a crucial preventive measure against cardiovascular disorders that are one of the most frequent causes of death.

Apart from its antiplatelet properties, nattokinase promotes a healthy cardiovascular system due to its ability to optimise blood pressure. Some sources say that this enzyme has a beneficial effect on the elasticity of blood vessels. It can be therefore acknowledged that this agent optimises blood flow through veins and arteries

Nattokinase is indicated to have a beneficial impact on the human body. This is because it improves the transport of blood (along with nutrients) to peripheral tissues .
