Pycnogenol® is the highest-quality sea pine bark extract (Pinus pinaster), patented by Horphag Research. It comes from specially-reared trees, growing on the unspoiled, unpolluted areas of Bordeaux in France. It is entirely natural, free from pesticides and herbicides. To produce 1 kg of Pycnogenol®, up to 1000 kg of sea pine bark is used.

Pycnogenol® is one of the best-studied ingredients in the world – Horphag Research has spent as many as 40 years on testing its safety and effectiveness. In total, over 160 clinical trials were conducted, and their results were presented in 420 scientific publications.

Pycnogenol® contains a unique combination of bioactive compounds that exhibit a wide spectrum of health-promoting properties. These include oligomeric proanthocyanidins, bioflavonoids and phenolic acids. They are extremely powerful antioxidants that easily neutralize free radicals and reduce the intensity of oxidative stress in the system. In addition, it has been proven that Pycnogenol® stabilizes atherosclerotic plaques, improves blood circulation, reduces platelet aggregation, promotes normalization of blood pressure, prevents glycation of proteins and regulates the body's inflammatory response.

Pycnogenol® is present in more than 1000 dietary supplements. Moreover, it can be found in many cosmetics and health-promoting products.

Dosage: no standard for unit consumption.
Studies proved the safety of doses of 300 mg per day.
The most frequently recommended dose is 50 mg for every 20-30 kg of body weight.
