Don't do that!

Unnecessary, because the body does not need the stimulation of caffeine, as the concentration of cortisol immediately after waking up is high, and the peak reaches between 8 and 9. So no effect, and it's easy to become resistant to the effects of caffeine - you will drink more and stronger coffee. The even worse solution is to drink a small black on an empty stomach. The body needs a different top-up in the morning - it is better to treat him to a nutritious breakfast with a glass of juice, possibly with a milk latte, and to make stronger coffee, e.g. espresso, for a second breakfast. After drinking coffee on an empty stomach, there is soon a strike of hunger that is difficult to control. Instead of, for example, wholemeal bread, cheese and vegetable sandwiches (containing healthier complex carbohydrates), we are more eager to reach for products with a high glycemic index, e.g. a sweet bun or cookies, consisting of easily digestible simple sugars and low in vitamins.

The problem is that the energy supplied in this way ends quickly, the blood glucose level drops sharply and we are getting hungry again.

It should also be remembered that coffee has a diuretic effect, therefore by drinking strong coffee and not supplementing it with other liquids, we expose the body to dehydration. Another reason why you should wait with your first coffee is ... breath. The morning smell from the mouth, to put it mildly, is not the most pleasant and this is a normal symptom caused by the presence of digestive juices in an empty stomach.

However, it is better to limit yourself to one cup in the morning.
