Description
  • Specially selected blend of mineral BHB salts
  • Exogenous source of ketone bodies in powder
  • Supports keto-adaptation and maintains ketosis
  • Exhibits neuroprotective and neurotrophic properties
  • Promotes BDNF expression in nerve cells
  • Supports normal carbohydrate management
  • Reduces inflammation and activates antioxidant mechanisms
  • Increases physical and intellectual capacity

Apollo’s Hegemony BHB is a dietary supplement containing easily assimilable mineral salts (calcium, sodium, and potassium) of beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) in the form of powder.

The preparation helps to increase ketone levels in the blood and is a pro-ketogenic signal, thanks to which it is beneficial for the process of keto-adaptation and helps the organism to adjust to obtain energy from ketones faster. Moreover, the preparation exhibits anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties, increases the organism’s capacity, and improves cognitive functions.

Customers about the product

I used the product during keto-adaptation and I must admit that it really helped me go through it very gently, without energy drops or headaches. However, after adaptation I didn't see much difference in my well-being compared to the days when I didn't use BHB. I think that for people who need an extra boost of keto energy, this is a product worth attention.

BHB (beta-hydroxybutyrate) is a ketone body, along with acetone and acetoacetic acid, which means they constitute a source of energy for, among other parts, the brain, muscles, and the heart in case of low blood glucose levels. Ketone bodies are produced by the liver as a result of the reaction of fatty acid oxidation during fasting, intensive training, significant calorie restrictions, and a properly followed ketogenic diet.

Anti-inflammatory properties of BHB
BHB in physiological concentrations exhibits cytoprotective properties and helps to block pro-inflammatory cascades. The anti-inflammatory properties of BHB may be connected with its inhibitory effect on the inflammasome NLRP3. Inflammasome is a large protein complex responsible for activating the pro-inflammatory cascade that leads to the maturation of pro-inflammatory cytokines. BHB inhibits inflammatory markers, thanks to which it helps to reduce inflammations caused by NLRP3, which lead to the development of, for example, type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, or multiple sclerosis.

BHB and endoplasmic reticulum stress
BHB selectively modulates endoplasmic reticulum stress, which develops as a result of the activity of reactive oxygen species and can lead to disorders in protein properties or their functions, as well as causes increased expression of enzymes that neutralise free oxygen radicals. Eliminating endoplasmic stress by BHB takes place above all thanks to its ability to inhibit the activity of inflammasomes, thanks to which the activity of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) is stimulated, an enzyme which plays a role of the so-called switch in a situation of oxidative stress and constitutes the main regulator of energy homeostasis.

The phenomenon of the stress that takes place in endoplasmic reticulum can be one of the factors that contribute to the development of chronic inflammatory diseases, especially autoimmune or neurodegenerative ones, for example Alzheimer’s disease, as well as to obesity, insulin sensitivity, or hyperinsulinemia.

Neuroprotective and neurotrophic properties of BHB
BHB affects the expression of BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) in the hippocampus, which has a neuroprotective effect and stimulates the growth and multiplication of neurons. Moreover, BHB stimulates the release of neurotransmitters in the hippocampus, exhibits anxiolytic and antidepressant effects, and helps to enhance cognitive functions with a simultaneous stimulant effect.

What is more, BHB slows down the degeneration of cognitive functions that progresses as the organism ages, and can improve intellectual capacity in patients with Alzheimer’s disease.

Improvement of muscle-nerve cooperation
The benefits of using ketones can also be promising for athletes. Consuming ketone bodies before planned workout increases energy levels and improves cognitive functions. Ketone bodies reduce the demand for oxygen and let you enjoy longer workout without the symptoms of tiredness, which can additionally translate into higher sports achievements.

Anticancer properties
It has been observed that supplementing exogenous ketone bodies has an anticancer effect. It can stem from the fact that cancer cells, unlike healthy tissues in the organism, are unable to use ketone bodies.

To sum up, Apollo’s Hegemony BHB is a dietary supplement that efficiently alleviates inflammations, boosts energy, and supports intellectual and physical work.

The preparation fantastically supports people who are on a ketogenic diet, reduces the symptoms of keto-adaptation, and exhibits its brilliant activity when the organism is not in the state of deep ketosis as well. The preparation can also allow you to increase the daily limit of carbohydrates and help people who struggle to return to ketosis after the consumption of carbohydrates.
