Aliness Magnesium Citrate Anhydrous with B6 is a dietary supplement that provides magnesium and vitamin B6 in an active and highly absorbable form. Both of these components are necessary for the proper functioning of the body.

Magnesium citrate is an organic salt composed of citric acid anhydride and magnesium. Citric acid is a compound commonly found in cells and it plays an important role in the Krebs cycle (also called the citric acid cycle). This process is an important component in the energy production occurring in the cell mitochondria because it is when ATP is created – a chemical energy carrier.

The solubility of organic salts in water is very high, thanks to which magnesium is released in the form of ions and can be easily absorbed by the body's cells.

Magnesium is the second most important intracellular cation, right after potassium. It plays an important role in the formation of ATP because it activates the enzymes responsible for phosphorylation reactions. It also participates in the regulation of the cellular cycle. In addition, it is a component of transport proteins of the respiratory chain necessary to obtain energy (NADH2, NADPH2, FAD, and CoA). Magnesium helps in maintaining the electrolyte balance, shows a cardioprotective effect and reacts with phospholipids thus creating cell membranes. Magnesium also co-creates ribosomes – intracellular structures responsible for the translation process, i.e. protein formation. Thanks to this, magnesium supports the expansion and proper functioning of muscles.

Macroscopically-wise, magnesium protects the heart from hypoxia and the blood vessels from excess calcium, which ensures their flexibility. It is also necessary for the synthesis, storage and release of certain hormones and is an important building block of teeth and bones. It also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and improves the functioning of the nervous system.

Magnesium preparations are recommended not only to people exposed to severe stress, tired and irritable, but also those who struggle with muscle cramps, increased risk of atherosclerosis or electrolyte disturbances.

Another component of the product is the active form of vitamin B6, i.e. pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P-5-P). It is the component of many enzymes that participate, among others, in the synthesis of tryptophan, catecholamines, serotonin and hemoglobin, and in the metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. The combination of magnesium and vitamin B6 in one preparation increases magnesium absorption in the intestines and accelerates its transport to cells, which is why this supplement is so effective.

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) has a protective effect on the skin. Deficiencies of this vitamin may cause seborrhea, discoloration, and eczema. In addition, pyridoxine participates in the biosynthesis of sphingosine, neurotransmitters, DNA, and porphyrins; it takes part in the proper division of cells, in the reduction of fatigue and contributes to the maintenance of normal psychological functions. Vitamin B6 also helps in maintaining proper homocysteine metabolism and improves the functioning of the immune system.

Demand for vitamin B6 increases in pregnancy and during periods of a high-protein diet.

In summary, Aliness Citrate Magnesium Anhydrous with B6 is an ideal dietary supplement not only for people complaining of chronic fatigue, muscle pain or irritability but also for anyone who wants to ensure their body with a supply of adequate amounts of micronutrients. A large package is enough for up to 3 months of use.

Magnesium citrate

Magnesium citrate is a salt of magnesium and citric acid. It constitutes one of the best assimilable forms of magnesium, which plays many important functions in the organism. It is responsible, among others, for the proper work of the nervous, immune and muscle systems.

Magnesium has calming effect by decreasing the excitability of nerve cells. Thanks to introducing this element to a diet, we may potentially improve sleep quality and reduce the level of stress.

Positive influence on the circulatory system is another feature of magnesium. It prevents hypertension and storage of cholesterol in the walls of blood vessels (arteries), thanks to which it may prevent diseases related to the circulatory system.

Magnesium also plays a considerable role in the process of muscle contraction, therefore it influences the activity of the whole muscle system. It also takes part in the proper synthesis of protein, the process of cell division and proper course of energy metabolism. It helps to maintain healthy teeth and bones and general electrolyte balance in the organism.

Magnesium (element from the group of alkaline earth metals, atomic no. 12, a chemical symbol - Mg), one of the most important health microelements, participates in the synthesis process of the disintegration of high energy compounds and processes of transformation of hydrocarbons and fats. It affects the dilation of blood vessels and lower blood pressure, prevents hypercoagulable state. Shortages affect cardiac arrhythmias, malignant muscle cramps, insomnia and anxiety. It is a component of many dietary supplements and found in foods such as whole grain bread, legumes, buckwheat, rice, fish, meat, as well as chocolate, cocoa and nuts.
Dosage of 100 - 500 mg / day

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine, pyridoxal, pyridoxamine) is soluble in the liquid. It participates in the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. By reducing the amount of fat in the blood do not enable deposition of the body. It helps the absorption of magnesium and vitamin B12 (cobalamin). It works on the muscle antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory pain in the joints. It acts anti. It provides efficient operation of the brain. It increases energy increasing vigor of a man. The demand for vitamin B6 increases during pregnancy and breast-feeding infants. The natural product is: yeast, eggs, wheat germ, meat (liver), wheat bran, nuts, peanuts peanuts, soybeans. There is a hypothesis that can be synthesized by intestinal bacteria.
Deficiency of vitamin B6 causes abnormal metabolism of proteins, decrease in lymphocytes in the blood, causes a feeling of lethargy and fatigue intensifies.
Dosage: 1.5-2.5 mg daily (increased demand during pregnancy and lactation).

Pyridoxal 5-phosphate (P-5-P)

Pyridoxal 5-phosphate (P-5-P) - the form of vitamin B6, called coenzymatic, considered the best assimilable form of this vitamin by the human organism. This is related to direct metabolic activity of pyridoxal-5-phosphate in the human organism. It does not have to be subjected to biochemical transformations in the organism in order to be able to enter metabolic pathways as a biologically active ingredient.

Vitamin B6 is an incredibly important factor regulating the work of many processes in the organism due to its role in the organism as a coenzyme, essential for the activation of many important enzymes. Thanks to this, it regulates metabolism at many levels and its proper supply is conducive to maintaining homeostasis of the organism.

Another aspect of effectiveness of vitamin B6 is its influence on the normalization of emotional states. It is conducive to relaxation, facilitates falling asleep and falling in a deep, the most valuable sleep. Special influence on P5P on the psyche is proven in women before menstruation, as it demonstrates considerable ability to reduce the symptoms of the pre-menstrual syndrome.

Supplementation with vitamin B6 also demonstrates positive influence on the functions of the nervous system. It is conducive to the nourishment of neuronal tissues and optimizes the secretion of neurotransmitters, thanks to which it promotes nervous transmission and demonstrates neuroprotective properties. It was proven that vitamin B6 may decrease the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease.

Some sources also suggest the ability of pyridoxal 5-phosphate to reduce the risk of cancer. This effectiveness is noted especially in relation to breast cancer.
