In the last batches of Apollo's Hegemony products, another glue was used for lids under the caps. The glue is weaker than previously used, this is why the lid often stays inside the cap when unscrewing the bottle. This does not affect the quality of products because during storage the lid adheres to the bottle and protects its contents.

Apollo's Hegemony Genous is a dietary supplement aimed at improving cognitive functions. The innovative combination of nootropic ingredients allows the increase in the performance of the mind, thus supporting many aspects of the nervous system.

Genous is based on a combination of effective stimulants with substances that influence the transmission of signals in cells and improve memory and well-being.

Caffeine – a well-known and much liked component of coffee beans that brightens the minds of millions of people. It is a purine alkaloid whose main mechanism of action is the inhibition of adenosine activity by inhibiting its receptors, resulting in the reduction of fatigue. It also affects the action of dopamine and norepinephrine, thus additionally boosting energy. Thanks to the interaction with the acetylcholine system and inhibition of phosphodiesterases, it works well as a procognitive agent.

DMHA – also known under the trade name Octodrine, an effective stimulant, an analog of the popular geranium. According to users' reviews, it is better tolerated than the original, because it does not cause such a characteristic energy fall after the cessation of action. DMHA increases the uptake of dopamine and norepinephrine, which significantly affects psychomotor arousal.

Sceletium Tortuosum (Kanna) – a plant used in the tradition of African hunters to reduce stress and improve concentration. The unique property of mesembrine contained in this plant is the inhibition of serotonin reuptake, i.e. an analogous effect to the popular antidepressants belonging to SSRIs. However, in comparison to them, Kanna is effective already at first use and does not entail side effects, e.g., it improves cognition rather than aggravate it. Sceletium Tortuosum reduces the level of activation of the amygdala in response to stress stimuli, thus stabilizing the mood, reducing stress and aggression. Another mechanism of action responsible for the pro-cognitive effect of Kanna is the inhibition of type 4 phosphodiesterase (PDE-4).

Forskolin – a substance obtained from Indian nettle (Coleus Forskohlii), known from Ayurvedic medicine. It is a stimulator of adenylate cyclase, thanks to which it accelerates the formation of cAMP, including in neurons. The increase in cAMP in nerve cells improves long-term memory, improves cognition and exerts a neuroprotective effect. Forskolin also shows anti-inflammatory properties, helps in slimming and in the reduction of asthma symptoms.

Coluracetam – an innovative nootropic agent, a derivative of the popular piracetam with much greater activity. Human studies proved coluracetam to have an antidepressant effect when used in the doses of up to 80 mg 3 times a day. The most important mechanism of action of coluracetam is increasing HACU (high-affinity choline uptake). As a result, more choline goes to neurons, where it can be transformed into acetylcholine. Apart from the interaction with the ACh system, coluracetam also affects the glutamate system, which is the second, very important for memory formation processes system in the brain. In this case, the action involves the activation of AMPA receptors, which play an important role in the process of long-term potentiation (LTP).

Increased energy, motivation and concentration are the most important attributes of an effective nootropic agent.
Agents that are considered pro-cognitive have a very wide range of effects, nevertheless, there is one group which certainly stands out for its effectiveness. These are, of course, stimulants. The popularity of caffeine or even agents such as Adderall or modafinil among students and white-collar workers speaks for itself. The increase in excitatory neurotransmitters provides a rapid increase in motivation and a sense of well-being, thanks to which we are able to get to work straight away. It also reduces the need for rest and speeds up thinking while increasing the clarity of mind. The combination of DMHA and caffeine comprehensively affect the stimulation of the nervous system, which is why it is the core of the Genous composition.

Well-being and stress reduction facilitate proper focus on the tasks performed.
It is hard to work when our head is bothered by various worries. It is definitely easier to focus on the task when stress does not bother us and we feel just good. That is why the composition of the supplement has been enriched with the Sceletium Tortuosum extract. The plant was once used by hunters from southern Africa to relieve the tension and stress associated with hunting, without the effect of sedation. Combining the extract with coluracetam, which particurarly significantly improves mood in numerous users, even more strengthens the stimulatory potential of the supplement.

The elevation of intraneuronal cAMP promotes the improvement of cognition and long-term memory.
The increase in cyclic AMP will be influenced both by the increase in adenylate cyclase activity by forskolin and the inhibition of phosphodiesterases by Kanna and caffeine, thus providing very efficient synergy. Kanna inhibits especially the phosphodiesterase 4, which is located mainly in neurons. cAMP is an intracellular information transmitter that positively affects, e.g., neuroplasticity, memory consolidation, and regulation of neurotransmitter ejection.

Nootropic means by definition should have a positive effect on memory.
Improving memory is one of the main reasons why we reach for nootropic agents. By choosing Genous, we gain a multifaceted effect on the acetylcholine system, on the AMPA receptors of the glutamatergic system and on the improvement of intracellular transmission, which results from the elevated level of cAMP. Thanks to this, information is much better absorbed and remain in memory for a long time.

In summary, Genous is a product aimed at raising energy and motivation and supporting the processes responsible for memory formation and neuroplasticity. Excellent help for periods of intense learning or demanding mental work.

Caffeine (1,3,7-trimethylxanthine, 1-methylotheobromine) is a purine alkaloid occurring in the natural state in plants (Coffea arabica, Camelia sinensis, Paulinia cupana, Ilex paraguariensis), which acts as a natural pesticide, acting toxic to insects. Peculiar smell and taste also deters herbivores. Caffeine in the body inhibits the adenosine receptors in the brain, fighting fatigue and allowing for action activation. It has a beneficial effect on the metabolism of oxygen, which increases the exercise capacity (strength and endurance) and rapid post-workout recovery. In the sports supplementation, caffeine is used as a stimulant nervous system. It has the thermogenic potential and in combination with other substances (e.g. Polyphenols, both occurring in coffee beans, such as cocoa beans, tea leaves and mate) can effectively participate in the reduction of body fat. It is included in many dietary stimulants (creatine stacks, no-boosters, beverages). It is a component of fat burners. It is also in the form of mono-preparation supplements.

Forskolin (Coleus forskohlii) - Indian coleus is an Asian plant, of which the root is the source of biologically active diterpenes. It has been proved that forskolin activates adenylyl cyclase and increases cAMP levels, affecting the growth of muscle mass and reduced body fat. Reduces the level of cortisol hormone with catabolic action to muscle tissue. In the supplementation used as part of the support of physical effort to and to build silhouette and reduce body fat. Part of the thermogenics and supplements providing the proper functioning of the endocrine system. It is a component of nitrogen boosters.
Dosage: 25-100 mg daily, based on 100% forskolin.

Coluracetam (BCI-540, MKC-231) is a synthetic chemical compound of the racetam family. It was designed as a drug for Alzheimer’s disease in 2005 in Japan. Subsequently, it was in-licensed by BrainCell Inc., which conducted the largest number of studies on antidepressant potential of this compound. Nowadays, the agent is enjoying great popularity in the world of medicine and supplementation – apart from nootropic properties, characteristic of all racetams, it has a beneficial impact on mood and treats anxiety-depressive disorders.

The basic mechanism of action of coluracetam is to stimulate the so-called HACE (high-affinity choline uptake). It is critical to the delivery of choline to neurons where it may be converted into acetylcholine. It is commonly known that it is essential to memory formation, is responsible for the process of learning and enhances focus.

Scientists suggest that coluracetam modulates AMPA receptors. It is also important for mental performance. Furthermore, the stimulation of these receptors leads to a better mood and helps eliminate panic attacks.

In supplementation, coluracetam is used alone or in combination with other nootropic substances.

Dosage: No official guidelines.

The most frequently recommended dosage varies from 20 to 200 mg daily.
