Aliness Vitamin D3 10 000 IU is a dietary supplement containing vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) in the amount of  10,000 IU. The product effectively complements the deficiency of vitamin D3. It supports the proper bone structure, strengthens the immune system and improves the functioning of the circulatory system.

Vitamin D3 occurs naturally in food (fish, eggs and dairy products), but the human body system is also able to synthesise it by itself at the proper exposure to sunlight. Vitamin D is called a prohormone, because it is involved in more than 200 enzymatic reactions in the body system, by connecting with its VDR receptors (Vitamin D Receptor).

However, vitamin D deficiency is very common around the world. Vitamin D3 is synthesised in the skin as a result of exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Unfortunately, in our climate, its optimal synthesis takes place mainly in the summer months, between 11 am and 3 pm, if we expose about 25% of our body to sunlight. Although, even this may be insufficient (due to the use of UV blockers and too short exposure to sunlight). For the rest of the year we have to provide the vitamin with food or through supplementation.

Strong, healthy bones
Vitamin D3 regulates calcium-phosphate metabolism. It is essential for bone development and is responsible for the proper functioning of osteoblasts, the bone-building cells responsible for the growth and remodeling of bone tissue. It helps to maintain the proper mineral density of bones, protects from osteoporosis and effectively reduces the risk of fractures.

Support for immunity
It has been demonstrated that the immune system cells (monocytes, macrophages, lymphocytes T and B) have not only the VDR receptor but also the enzymes transforming inactive form of vitamin D into its active form. The studies confirm that vitamin D3 is one of the most important factors determining the homeostasis of the immune system as well as it plays a key role in fighting infections and autoimmune disorders.

Healthy cardiovascular system
It has been observed that there is a relationship between vitamin D level and the proper contractility of heart muscle (the VDR receptors are also present in the heart and blood vessels). Studies demonstrate that vitamin D affects i.a. blood coagulation, blood pressure, lipid profile and blood platelet functions. The vitamin has also an influence on the activity of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), responsible for regulating the level of sodium and potassium ions in blood, which in turn reduces blood pressure.

Benefits dof diabetes treatment
Vitamin D is involved in the process of insulin release from the beta cells of the pancreas. Insulin is a hormone responsible for delivering glucose to tissues. Its level stimulates the pancreas to produce insulin. Vitamin D increases the sensitivity of tissues to insulin (people taking vitamin D observe an improvement in the level of glycated haemoglobin).

Support for brain functions
Research shows that vitamin D is important for the proper brain development. It activates and inactivates the enzymes in the brain and cerebrospinal fluid, which are involved in the synthesis of neurotransmitters and nerve growth. Moreover, it supports the synthesis of a protein necessary for the survival of brain cells, shows neuroprotective and antioxidant properties as well as supports the health of blood vessels, also in the brain. In addition, VDR receptors are located in the hippocampus, the brain part responsible for the storage of memory traces. Low vitamin D3 level can be observed in people with impaired cognitive processes and struggling with neurological disorders.

Better sport results
A study demonstrated a positive effect of supplementation with 4,000 IU of vitamin D3 on the rate of muscle recovery after eccentric training. Also, lower levels of myostatin were observed, which is a hormone reducing the growth of muscle mass. Other studies also assessed positively the influence of vitamin D on sports performance. People supplementing vitamin D observed significant increases in strength and exercise capacity.

Increase in testosterone level
Men often look for supplements supporting production of the hormone responsible for masculinity. And such case, vitamin D can turn out to be helpful. Men with vitamin D deficiency observe lower levels of testosterone, and studies show an influence of the supplementation on the hormone level. Depending on the level of deficiency and individual differences, the vitamin can increase the hormone levels up to 25%. It also reduces the level of SHBG protein (sex hormone binding globulin), which binds with this androgen and reduces its biological activity. It also improves sperm motility and fertility.

To sum it all up, Aliness Vitamin D3 10 000 IU is a perfectly digestible form of vitamin D, supporting the proper functioning of the entire body system. This vitamin shows wide health-promoting activity and is necessary to maintain the proper bone structure and the proper functioning of the cardiovascular, muscular, nervous, and immune systems.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D belongs to fat soluble vitamins, occurs in three forms: calciferol (vitamin D1) ergocalciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), it is formed under the action of sunlight for at least 15 minutes per day. In the absence of sunlight it should be administered in the diet in the form of fish oil (Vitamin A + D3) and fish oils. It is responsible for the absorption of calcium and phosphorus. It is the building substance of bone tissue particularly necessary during pregnancy, childhood, and for athletes. It is a component of dietary supplements and nutrients among competetive athletes. Deficiency of vitamin D causes children growth inhibition, and rickets.
For adults - deficiency causes osteomalacia.
of vitamin D causes headaches, alopecia, nausea, drowsiness, blurred vision, pain in the long bones, the deposition of calcium deposits.
Dosage: 400 IU units during the day.
